Filip is Partner of OCAS Ventures.
Filip has over twenty five years of experience in the steel industry, from managing large ICT projects to the management of the central marketing and sales planning divisions of the commercial department in the flat carbon division.
Filip joined OCAS in 2005 to set up the business development activities of this joint-venture between ArcelorMittal and the Flemish Region.
Following the merger with Usinor and Aceralia he was SVP responsible for the consolidation of the commercial processes and systems of the Arcelor Flat Carbon sector. The systems covered a wide range of business processes from order to cash.
A major move in Filip’s career took place when he was assigned to join the new commercial management team at the start of SIDSTAHL to set-up the marketing and planning departments.
Before that he took the responsibility as ICT coordinator for the cold rolling mill where large ICT projects were lead from base automation to overall production planning and scheduling applications projects, always accompanied by the necessary change management programs for the workers.
Filip started his career in ICT in the metallurgical department at Arcelor Gent (ARBED Group) where the first implementation of a laboratory information management system was done. In 1990 he was also involved in the start of the new research centre OCAS. |
